The bed bug being nocturnal will feed on your blood during the night by biting your skin and sucking the blood through the break in the skin. Later the bed bug bite will become itchy and turn in to a red welt and can often be found in areas of the body where the skin is exposed such as the ankles and wrists. Bed bugs mites can often initially be mistaken for mosquito and flea bites.
